Dulwich College

Dulwich College is an academically selective independent day and boarding school for boys. We are a hub school for the first two nationwide subject-specific SCITTs - the National Maths and Physics SCITT and the National Modern Languages SCITT, and are partnering with the University of Roehampton to deliver a PGCE with QTS in Secondary Computing.

About our school experience

Details

Dulwich College is the South London Hub of the National Mathematics and Physics SCITT (NMAP), the National Modern Languages SCITT (NML), and are working with the University of Roehampton to deliver a PGCE with QTS for Secondary Computing, Chemistry, Biology, Business Studies & Economics. Trainees undertake a main school placement lasting two and a half terms, choosing from a variety of schools across South London that span the comprehensive, grammar and independent sectors. Please note that your school placement (where you do your teaching) is not necessarily at Dulwich College itself. Formal subject-specific training however, does take place at Dulwich College, on Wednesdays either every week or ever other week depending on the course.

The visit will include a full introduction to the course, the opportunity to meet current trainees on the programme, Q&A with the subject leads of and either lesson observations (either in person or recorded).

If you have any queries, please email us at tatevossiane@dulwich.org.uk,
or juyolc@dulwich.org for MFL.
Due to the volume of requests for our school experience, regrettably we are presently unable to respond to all of them.

Start and finish times
1:30pm to 3:30pm - Flexible

It is fine if you need to leave before the stated end time, as the last 45 minutes or so are given over to Q&A. We are happy to answer any further questions you may have over phone or email.
