Emmanuel College

Emmanuel College in Gateshead exists to impart wisdom to the next generation by educating young men and women in a culture which prioritises the pursuit of truth and the development of character. We value academic excellence and each year see many of our students leave to take up places at some of the world’s top universities, but we hold personal best to be of far greater importance and exist for young people of all abilities.

Emmanuel College is a high achieving mixed comprehensive for the 11-18 range judged ‘outstanding’ in every Ofsted inspection in its history and designated a teaching school in April 2014. The Emmanuel Teaching School Alliance work in partnership with Newcastle University and have a proven track record in Primary and Secondary Initial Teacher Training. School Experience visit days are aimed at undergraduates, graduates and career changers who are interested in training to teach. During the day you will be provided with an opportunity to gain further information about the application process, routes into teaching and what our Secondary School Direct teacher training programme can offer you. There will be an opportunity to observe lessons in the subject area you wish to teach and have informal discussions with experienced teachers. We do not require candidates to undergo a DBS check.

Car parks on site which you are welcome to use if spaces are available, however please do not park in locations where restrictions are clearly marked or where parking may cause an obstruction.
