The Westgate School
The Westgate School is Hampshire's first all-through school, with 1,625 pupils aged from 4-16 in Early Years (Reception) up to Year 11 (GCSE).
Rated as Outstanding by Ofsted in November 2023, the Westgate is a thriving and highly successful learning community. At the heart of our success is the strength of partnership that exists between pupils, adults in school and, their families.
We believe that every young person should feel a sense of belonging in our school community and enjoy their learning. As a result of this, individuals will leave with the skills and resources to take the next step in their lives, confident in their strengths and prepared to meet the challenges of the future.
Staff are "highly skilled" (Ofsted, 2023) and we pride ourselves on our collegiate culture in which ideas are shared unselfishly, problems are acknowledged without fear, and everything that we do is in the spirit of professional generosity. The wellbeing and success of pupils is intrinsically linked to that of adults in our school: everybody matters.
