Teacher training offered

Bitterne Park School is the lead school for the Bitterne Park Teacher Training Alliance, a growing partnership comprising a diverse range of secondary schools across Hampshire and Wiltshire which present dynamic and exciting training possibilities for those wishing to pursue a career in teaching. Our School Direct training programme is one year course, delivered in partnership with the Universities of Southampton, Winchester and Chichester which leads to a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) as well as contributing towards a Master's level qualification. We feel our programme combines the best elements of a traditional university-led PGCE training model with the benefits of a school-centred approach. Our partner universities have a long-established record of excellent initial teacher training.
