Baysgarth School is the hub of Riverview and RITE. We have increased in size from 700 to 1000 students in less than a decade and reside in brand new buildings with the latest technology for all of our teachers in their classrooms. We have plans for further expansion to allow up to 1200 students to enjoy our high quality teaching and learning
Riverview is not afraid to take risks and we have an innovative curriculum that is based on the firm foundations of our own Learning Model. Trainees benefit from superb induction, bespoke CPD and high quality mentoring from experienced, high quality teachers and leaders

About our school experience

Details

Here at R.I.T.E we offer 2 kinds of experience for our SCITT programme.
A day experience where potential candidates can come in and follow a programme such as:
- meet and greet current SCITT trainees and ECTs to get an insight into what it is like to train with us at RITE. They will be able to tell you about the support they get and what a typical week in the life of a trainee is like.

- observe lessons looking at different teaching styles and looking at the science of how young people learn.

- have a student led tour of the school and the facilities, giving you a chance to ask questions and get a students perspective.

- meet with the SCITT lead to get details of the course and how we run the ITT programme here at RITE.

We also offer an open evening event in which you can come and have an informal chat with the SCITT lead and our current trainess and ECTs, giving you the opportunity to ask all your questions. You will also get a tour of the school and our incredible facilities. This is perfect for those who are currently employed and cannot get time off to come to our day experiences.

Start and finish times
8:15am to 2:50pm - Flexible

We offer open evening experiences also so if you are currently employed and are unable to attend a day experience, you are most welcome to come along to one of our open evenings from 4-6:30pm and meet the SCITT lead and our current trainees and ECTs.
