The Hollins
We are an excellent 11-16 co-educational LA controlled school located in the picturesque Hollins Lane area of Accrington. We provide an excellent education within a clear framework of manners and respect for others. We are nationally recognised as a high performing school in terms of both achievement and attainment.
We have wonderful facilities promoting learning and development. Plus a rich and varied programme of sports, art music, drama and outside visits. These all make a valuable contribution to achievement and enjoyment.
Visitors to the The Hollins frequently comment on the polite behaviour of our students and the pleasant atmosphere which exists. We work hard to promote this through our consistent approach to behaviour, good manners and hard work. We have dedicated staff and a well organised year system. The Hollins has a planned programme of personal social and citizenship education which develops an understanding of the needs and feelings of others. It’s not just about exam success as we have a broad range of curricular and extra curricular activities which promote a sense of belonging, team work and achievement.
We are the lead school for the Pennine Lancashire SCITT.
