Bucknall Primary School
Bucknall Primary School is a small rural setting. We offer places for children from nursery to year 6. We believe that our role is to ensure that children can be the best that they can be. We do this within the context of a small family focussed environment that stimulates a love of learning. We have 7 values which underpin the daily life within our school. We support our children to succeed academically, socially, personally, physically and spiritually both inside and outside school. Visitors comment on our supportive team, the family feel of the school and our shared commitment to help every child flourish.
About our school experience

- We have successfully supported candidates through teacher training for a number of years. We offer high quality mentoring which supports the bridge between evidence and practice within the classroom. There will be opportunity to observe quality first teaching and a discussion around how to implement strategies with a supportive mentor. Candidates will work alongside children as well as being encouraged to participate in school team as part of the staff team. There will be opportunity to observe specific subjects and discussions with experienced subject leaders can be facilitated. During the experience we will invite candidates to a discussion where we can talk about the ITT process and which options would best suit their needs.
