Mellers Primary School
Mellers is a city primary school for pupils aged from 3-11 years. We have a 52 place nursery with full-time and part-time places; there are two classes in every year group, and the demand for places at our school is very high.
At Mellers, we want to give every child an education of the highest standard; we aim for excellence in all our school activities and encourage all children, whatever their ability, to achieve the best they possibly can.
We all feel that Mellers is an extraordinary, unique school, ‘an oasis at the heart of the community’ in which everyone strives to ensure that we all have every opportunity to be the best that we can be. We want our pupils to leave Mellers and be well-equipped for secondary school, for college, for the top universities and for the world of work. We want our pupils to be fulfilled, hopeful and brimming with aspiration.

Inspiring Leaders Teacher Training, Nottinghamshire Hub.
The Nottinghamshire Primary Hub is lead by Flying High. We work with a number of Trusts and schools across Nottingham city and county to provide a range of different types of placements and experiences to our trainees. We are led by the belief that every child deserves an outstanding education and this begins with outstanding teachers.
Our schools work together to always be at the forefront of best practice in education. The SCITT (School Centred Initial Teacher Training) route forms the first step in a career in that community.
We strive to provide the highest quality training and development experiences for all our trainees in order to provide those outstanding, child-centred teachers and leaders of the future in our schools
