Welford-on-Avon Primary School
Welford on Avon Primary is high achieving, larger than average rural primary and nursery school located in the village of Welford on Avon in Warwickshire. The school serves the local community but also draws pupils from surrounding villages.
Our intention is to promote the spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development of pupils, preparing them at school for their future life responsibilities and experiences. We encourage every pupil to discover and develop their own skills and abilities, as well as their interests, talents and their own distinctive personalities so they can each achieve their full potential.
Our rich educational environment promotes positive attitudes and an ethos where each child is valued and offered every opportunity to succeed. We see the potential in all children, with emotional wellbeing central to all we achieve. Our school is a happy and vibrant community in which our highly qualified staff have high expectations for the children and strive to bring learning alive in order to nurture and inspire success.
We aspire to build confidence across the entire school community through a culture of kindness, mutual respect and consideration. By providing for their enrichment, we believe our pupils will profit from their lives as children. At the same time, we are laying the foundations for future challenges. We value the contribution of every child and believe that our broad and balanced curriculum offers all pupils the opportunity to develop a thirst for learning, acquire new skills and discover their individual and unique talents.
Recently, we opened a Resource Provision on our school site to meet the needs of children with Communication and Interaction difficulties.
We lead the Arden Forest School Direct Teacher Training Programme in partnership with The University of Worcester using our experience and expertise to train the next generation of teachers.
