Swindon Academy
Swindon Academy is a 'Good', non-selective Academy in Swindon with 1,200 students from ages 11-18. As part of United Learning, our aim is to bring out the 'best in everyone' and we continuously strive to ensure that students and staff have every opportunity to do so. We are a successful and happy academy with hard working students, ambitious staff, supportive parents and committed governors. We are also the number one school in Swindon for GCSE progress and attainment.
We are proud to partner with United Teaching, an Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ teacher training programme. Swindon Academy is a Regional Training Centre for United Learning and an experienced training school. We host a large cohort of trainees each year in various subjects. With a dedicated professional mentor, experienced subject mentors we support trainees to make the teacher training journey one to remember with a fantastic support network to become the teachers of tomorrow and the education leaders of the future. Our school visit experience is an invaluable taster opportunity to experience quality first teaching and learning in action.
