The Cabot Learning Federation is a family of 35 schools in Bristol, Gloucestershire, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset and Somerset. We are a mature multi-academy trust (MAT) serving communities in the South West, and a leading partner in the Five Counties Teaching School Alliance.
Bristol Metropolitan Academy is a diverse secondary school with over 1,000 students, characterised by energy, enthusiasm and a strong sense of community. During the experience, you will have the chance to observe teaching and learning in action and get under the surface of what life in schools is really like.
As well as observing lessons you will have a chance to meet with a range of people who have been involved in the SCITT programme, for example current SCITT trainees, alumni trainees who are now teachers in the school, lead mentors and members of the school staff.
Information will be provided around the application and interview process.
There will be a break during the session with tea, coffee and water available.

We work in partnership with the Five Counties SCITT, graded Outstanding by Ofsted in March 2024. The Five Counties SCITT offers full time primary and secondary programmes leading to the award of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and the opportunity to gain Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
