The Charter School North Dulwich
The Charter School North Dulwich - an outstanding family school delivering excellence for all. We are at the heart of our local community in Dulwich and proud to be recognised as one of the top schools in the country for achievement at both GCSE and A Level.
The school’s teachers and support staff are creative, skilled, dedicated and enthusiastic professionals, who work tirelessly to improve the outcomes for all students.
There are rules and routines and we have high expectations for each child. Visitors often comment on what a happy, well behaved school it is. Pupils love it because they feel inspired, busy, helped and challenged – but above all, because they feel, and are made to feel, successful. The school is also blessed with a highly active and supportive parent body and some wonderful friends in the business, education, technology and medical worlds who work with our young people as mentors, supporters and advisors. Finally, the goal at The Charter School North Dulwich is a simple one: to enable all students to develop the knowledge, skills and character so that they can be happy in life, and be successful in higher education or the inspiring career pathway of their choice.

London South Teaching School Hub is a lead partner with Roehampton University offering initial teacher training across our highly successful schools in South London.
This postgraduate qualification gives you the tools to build a successful career in teaching while providing a holistic view of the profession; you will look at the child, curriculum and teacher.
The course will build your confidence in the classroom, your understanding of the wider role a teacher plays and provide you with all the subject knowledge to effectively teach the full curriculum to all age groups of primary school children. You will be based in a host school for 32 weeks of the year, which will enable you to develop strong relationships with your school mentor who will oversee your training. You will attend lectures and seminars at Roehampton University throughout the year.
You will be assigned a tutor from Roehampton who will support you with both the practical and academic elements of the course. You will also be part of a large cohort of trainee teachers in South London. We get to know each trainee and offer excellent pastoral support throughout your journey to becoming a teacher. Our diverse cohort of present and past trainees are always on hand for peer support and advice.
Our team are on-hand to support you through the application and interview process. If successful, we carefully select a host school that you will grow and thrive in as you train. We strongly recommend coming along to one of our online information events to meet us in person and to ask any further questions you might have.
