All School Experience Days will be held remotely via Microsoft Teams in two parts, attendees are able to attend both parts or just the part that suits their needs.
From 14:00 - 16:00 the events will have a "Taste of Teaching" focus, that will explore the realties of teaching. These remote sessions will feature short 15 minute forums from real teachers considering and explaining the realities of being a teacher and what a career in education can look like. topics will include;
- pastoral side of teaching
- career development
- a day in the life of a teacher
- what makes a great teacher
As well as opportunities for Q&A and discussions around what the process is for becoming a qualified teacher. This first session is targeted to attendees that have been curious about teaching and want more information about what a career in teaching may look like for them to help them make decisions on if teaching is right for them and if they are right for teaching.
After a short break the event will continue;
From 16:30 - 17:30 the event will be open evening style, exploring the details of Tudor Grange's SCITT programme and discussing the practicalities of beginning an Initial Teacher Training year and what possible next steps may be. These events will be best suited to attendees that are quite sure that they want to be teachers and want to find out more about the training process and need further information to enable them to choose the right provider for them.
