Springwood High School

Springwood is the Lead School for The Cambridge Partnership and represents a group of over 30 schools predominantly in West Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and South Lincolnshire.

It is a comprehensive school with Specialist Performing Arts Status and a long history of providing an excellent education to pupils in West Norfolk.

Springwood High school is dedicated to ensuring that every student gains the best qualifications possible. We believe that excellent academic qualifications provide each student with the best life chances and opportunities to ensure a successful and fulfilled future. In the last two years the percentage of students gaining 5 higher grades including English and Maths has risen significantly.

We currently have approximately 1700 pupils (including 6th Form)

About our school experience

Details

When visiting to observe at Springwood High School you will be given a timetable to follow within your chosen subject area. Please liaise directly with teaching staff if you wish to have any input other than observation. Usually any group help and work is encouraged, but it is appropriate to liaise first should you wish to.

Break and Lunch times will be spent with departments and offers the opportunity to discuss with them subject knowledge requirements to teach their subject.

Please bring your own refreshments for the day as we have cashless catering on site.

We only offer visits on Tuesdays

Please provide details of arrival and finish times and we will try to accommodate, but can not guarantee.

Please note we only offer observation visits on Tuesdays and visits must be booked at least a week in advance (by 3pm on the Tuesday before you wish to visit).

There is a visitor car park on the left before the school gates. Please then report to reception and sign in (right hand side once through the gates).

Traffic can be busy around the bypass and hospital roundabout so be sure to leave yourself plenty of time.
