Archbishop Holgate's School, A Church of England Academy
We are a successful Church of England Secondary School with a fully comprehensive intake. Our commitment to values, care and achievement is driven by the tenet that ‘your present circumstances don’t determine where you go; they merely determine where you start’. Alongside our commitment to inclusion, educating the whole child and fostering a unique school environment, our strong academic track record places the school in the top 5% nationally for both GCSE and A Level outcomes. We are also particularly proud of the progress that disadvantaged students make within our school.
Archbishop Holgate's School is the lead school for Pathfinder Teaching School Hub operating as a school-led centre of excellence, for teacher and leadership training and development.
Collaboration and collegiality underpin the vision and values of the Hub, which unites expertise and experience. Our network of partnerships aims to facilitate the creation and delivery of high-quality, evidence-based continuous professional development, benefitting colleagues at all stages of their career. We are led by experienced teachers and senior leaders who understand the importance of staff development and its impact on retention, expertise and ultimately, the life chances of the young people we are here to educate and support.
