Our school experience event will give you the opportunity to hear about training with the National Mathematics and Physics SCITT (NMAP SCITT) on our specialist Mathematics/Physics programme. You will get to observe lessons, and there will be an opportunity to meet current trainees and ask questions.
The NMAP SCITT programme, which has been developed by outstanding practitioners and in conjunction with the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications and the Institute of Physics, is an enhanced specialist training programme delivered through a growing network of hubs in England. As well as our 3-day summer residential induction course, we also hold termly national training days, bringing together all our Mathematics and Physics trainees from all our hubs.
Our trainees benefit from a high level of Mathematics/Physics subject specific training days, alongside Professional Studies training days where they learn about the classroom and pedagogy, which take place every week throughout their training year.
