County High School is in the beautiful market town of Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk and is served well with good transport links to Ipswich, Cambridge, Norwich and London. Students currently join us at the age of 13, in Year 9, and enjoy and benefit from the extensive academic, pastoral and extra-curricular opportunities that we offer to all of our students up to the age of 18.
County High School, Bury St Edmunds is entering a period of exciting growth and over the next 2 years will also welcome students in Years 7 and 8 organised on a split site campus, with Years 9-13 continuing to be based at the current site.
Our teachers work in a friendly and collaborative way and are extremely well qualified academically. They bring with them a wealth of experience gained in industry, research, commerce and administration.
Students’ learning is supported by excellent subject specialist facilities and all departments teach in well-furnished suites.

We aim to arrange a visit where you will be able to observe subject specific lessons and different year groups. We will arrange for you to speak to a member of our team who has up to date and relevant expertise in teacher training options and the early careers framework for teachers. You will have the opportunity to meet with experienced, early career and trainee teachers.
