Retford Oaks is an Ofsted good-rated academy with a dedication to excellence at its heart. We strive for academic excellence and place extremely high expectations on our students to allow all to flourish and gain the best possible outcomes. High quality teaching, within a broad and balanced curriculum, ensures all learners are challenged to meet their full potential.
Additionally, the holistic side of a student’s development is also very important to us. Our outstanding facilities and diverse range of trips and visits ensure that everyone has the opportunity to supplement their learning with enriching experiences. We encourage our students to participate in a wide range of extra-curricular activities to enable them to try something new or nurture existing talents, and leave Retford Oaks as well-rounded individuals.
Our academy is a stimulating and welcoming place, with highly motivated, well-behaved, and immaculately dressed students who embody the spirit of Retford Oaks as they strive for excellence in all that they do. It is equally our duty to enable our students to develop socially and emotionally. Our exceptional pastoral care ensures that students are supported and encouraged whilst pursuing their high academic goals.
About our school experience
- Details
-
The aim of the school experience days are to provide information on the routes into teaching and answer any individual questions on the teacher training process. All school experience days include a session led by our experts on the routes into teaching.
From the routes into teaching session you will gain information on the ITE application process, the interview process, what to do to gain experience, finance and bursaries.
It is also a great opportunity for you to observe teaching and learning in a range of classes, and where possible to meet newly qualified teachers and student teachers. We hope to give you a rounded experience of a full school day and look forward to meeting you!
