Malmesbury School is a mixed 11–18 secondary school with a strong commitment to being a Happy, Caring and Excellent community. We have high expectations of every student and are ambitious for their academic success, personal development and future opportunities. Our ethos is built on creating a safe, supportive and inclusive environment where students are encouraged to achieve their potential, develop confidence and become successful, responsible young people. We are equally committed to supporting our staff and developing a culture of professional learning and continuous improvement. Malmesbury is a genuinely collegiate school, where staff work closely together, share ideas and support one another. There is a strong sense of teamwork across the school, with colleagues willing to help each other and collaborate to find the best solutions for our students. We are proud of the positive relationships between colleagues and the sense of community that makes Malmesbury a rewarding and enjoyable place to work.
About our school experience
- Details
-
Our school experience morning gives prospective teachers the opportunity to experience life at Malmesbury School and gain an insight into the role of a teacher. Candidates will visit a range of lessons across different subjects and, where possible, different year groups, giving them the opportunity to observe teaching styles, classroom routines, behaviour management and relationships with students.
There will be opportunities to discuss what they have observed, ask questions and hear from a Senior Leader about the wider role of a teacher, including professionalism, safeguarding and pastoral care.
