Bay House School
About our school experience
When you arrive at Bay House, please report to the main school reception, where an ID check will take place (against the ID you have sent over electronically (part of our safeguarding procedure). We operate a cashless catering system so please bring lunch and any other refreshments you wish for the day. You will be escorted to the department you are visiting, where you will either be introduced to your host or left with the class teacher. The rest of the day (8.45am-3.10pm) will be spent observing or interacting with lessons. Along with your timetable for the day, an optional proforma will be provided to record observations, thoughts and reflections during the lessons. Morning break and lunch break will be spent within the department, where you will have the opportunity to ask questions of subject-specific teachers.
At the end of the day, you will be escorted back to the main reception to sign out. If you wish to meet with a member of the ITT team on the day to ask questions about various routes into teaching, please let us know in advance and we will organise that, depending upon availability. You will receive a follow up email. Should you wish to arrange any further visits then this can be discussed. We hope you enjoy your visit.
