About our school experience
Hello and welcome to this first step towards a career in teaching.
At The Deepings School/ SCITT, we are looking for committed, enthusiastic candidates who are actively exploring a career in schools and planning to apply for teacher training for the next September entry. Your experience day will see you meeting with a specialist in ITT and then following an observation timetable in your chosen phase / subject. Booking your day's experience through this route carries no cost and offers you one initial day with the possibility of subsequent days being booked afterwards. We do not require a DBS at this stage as you won't be left alone with children. When your application is confirmed, you will receive an email advising you of the detail for the day but do ask if you have any questions. We look forward to meeting you!

- They must live within 30 miles of the school
- Photo identification: Current passport or driving licence

No - Candidates will be accompanied at all times when in school.
Primary - Mon - Thu (no Fridays)
Secondary - Tue - Fri (no Mondays)
Please be aware that at secondary, not all subjects are available every day but arrangements will be made with you to find a mutually convenient time for your school experience. Secondary experience will usually take place at The Deepings School and Primary at Bourne Westfield Community Primary School.
