Breckland School
Breckland School is located in the small market town of Brandon in West Suffolk, very close to the Norfolk Border. The historic market town of Brandon is surrounded by acres of forest, which is renowned as an area of outstanding natural beauty. Thetford Forest is the largest lowland pine forest in Britain and hosts a rich variety of animal and plant life as well as providing a wide range of recreation facilities.

We allow all students access a broad and balanced range of subjects.
We ensure teaching deepens subject knowledge and skills and support all of our teachers to develop both their subject specific pedagogy and also their broader classroom practice. Our CPD is research evidence- informed and supplemented via collaboration with the other 8 secondary schools within Unity Schools Partnership.
We offer a stimulating curriculum, supported by a wide range of enrichment opportunities, including an annual ski trip, an international trip to Poland and a multitude of trips to local and national places of interest, including The Globe Theatre and national sporting venues. We also provide an extensive range of extra-curricular clubs and activities.

If you have a genuine interest in considering a career in teaching within the secondary sector, you will find a welcoming, supportive environment in which to observe outstanding lessons delivered by excellent classroom practitioners. We aim to arrange a visit where you will be able to observe subject specific lessons and different year groups.
You will be able to take part in whole staff and Faculty CPD sessions on each of our published dates.
We will arrange for you to speak to a member of our team who has up to date and relevant expertise in teacher training options and the early careers framework for teachers. You will have the opportunity to meet with experienced, early career and trainee teachers. - Start and finish times
