Cotgrave Candleby Lane School
Cotgrave Candleby Lane School and Nursery is at the heart of our community and strives to ensure that every child has the support, care, guidance and challenge to be the best they can be.
The school is proud of the strong bonds created with our children and families, which is built on our drive to develop the school’s eight values and truly go the extra mile. These relationships are reflected in our staff team who have a ‘can do’ approach, care for each other, learn together and work well as a high performing team.
Our Candleby Lane Curriculum vision is a LOVE of learning (Long term memory, Oracy rich, Values based and Experiential). It is broad and balanced, rich and varied, and offers our pupils a learning journey that ensures they develop the knowledge, skills, experiences, attitudes and beliefs to become confident and passionate future citizens of the world.

Inspiring Leaders Teacher training, Nottinghamshire Primary Hub.
The Nottinghamshire Primary Hub is lead by Flying High. We work with a number of Trusts and schools across the city and county to provide a range of different types of placements and experiences to our trainees. We are led by the belief that every child deserves an outstanding education and this begins with outstanding teachers.
Our schools work together to always be at the forefront of best practice in education. The SCITT (School Centred Initial Teacher Training) route forms the first step in a career in that community.
We strive to provide the highest quality training and development experiences for all our trainees in order to provide those outstanding, child-centred teachers and leaders of the future in our schools
