The Priory Belvoir Academy
At The Priory Belvoir Academy, we aim to retain the best of traditional values in education while being at the forefront of developments in teaching and learning.
The level of academic achievement achieved by pupils at Priory Belvoir has always been strong. However, we do not forget that each child is unique, and that the key to unlocking enthusiasm for learning will vary from one child to another. Consequently, the school is committed to providing a broad range of experiences and opportunities for pupils both inside and outside the classroom.
The academy provides a broad curriculum, taught by specialist teachers in specialist areas. There are also many out-of-school activities and clubs, a House system, and a well developed programme of trips to places both within the UK and abroad.
There is a full school uniform, and we set a high premium on good standards of behaviour and respect for others. We have high expectations concerning the achievement and behaviour of all pupils, whatever their starting points. "Opportunity and Achievement for All" is a mission statement that guides our actions, and it is important to us that all young people develop a sense of belonging and self-esteem founded upon personal successes.
