Ark Alexandra Academy
In 2019, William Parker and Helenswood came together to create Ark Alexandra Academy, a new chapter, and a truly exciting time for all. The school also celebrated its 400th anniversary, an amazing milestone that is shared by all boys and girls in the community.
Ark Alexandra is a two-campus secondary academy with a Sixth Form provision in Hastings. As a Church of England school, our values of faith, excellence and kindness underpin our ethos, culture and behaviour. We have an inclusive admissions policy that welcomes, without preference, students of all faith and none. We believe that everyone deserves to be accepted, included, and empowered to live a purposeful and fulfilling life.
Ark Alexandra Academy is part of Ark, an international charity and one of the UK’s most successful multi-academy trusts, with a network of 39 schools across the country. The Ventures that Ark develop and support are tackling some of the most challenging problems facing young people, both in the UK and around the world.

You will observe a variety of sessions throughout the day so we encourage everyone to attend for the whole day where possible.

Ark Teacher Training (ATT) is a school-based programme offering the perfect mixture of theory and classroom practice to develop you into the best teacher you can be. Because we believe that every child, regardless of their background, deserves to have access to a great education, we work mainly in communities of lower income with a history of academic underachievement.
We are very proud to have just received our second ‘outstanding’ rating from Ofsted in all categories! There are only a few ITTs in the UK that can say the same.

Entry requirements
You must:
- Must not have been accepted onto another teacher training course
- Must have a degree
- Photo identification: Passport or Driving licence
- Have graduated by August 2024 and have the right to live/work in the UK already in place
- DBS check required
