Wrenn School
Steeped in History, Wrenn school has been providing high quality education to the young people and families of Wellingborough for over 100 Years.
At Wrenn school ‘we set no limits and accept no excuses’ and we aim for excellence in all that we do. During their time at Wrenn our students thrive; we are proud of the outcomes that they achieve. Wrenn School has beautiful grounds, with excellent purpose-built sporting facilities and we place huge value in extra-curricular opportunities.
We believe in providing the very best care and guidance and our Wrenn values are central to our ethos and culture. We have a constant focus on high standards from our students asking them to Work Hard, Respect Others, Enjoy learning, to Never give up. Taking pride in our training programmes for staff, we have highly experienced mentors for early career teachers. Our mission is to nurture our own talent and offer excellent support to trainee teachers.

We recognise how important it is for prospective teachers to gain some first hand insight into how a school runs.
Our days may include:
Talking to Hub staff about the teacher training scheme
Talking to existing trainees about their experiences
Asking teachers about their typical day
Observe teaching
Observe tutor times
Watch a range of subjects being taught.You will also get the chance to gain advice on how to complete a training application and gain valuable insight into some of the skills you can showcase in your personal statement.
No DBS is required because you will also be with a member of staff but you will be able to interact with students and watch how they engage in their learning.

Entry requirements
You must:
- Must not have been accepted onto another teacher training course
- Must have a degree
- Photo identification: For example a passport or driving licence
- Must be considering apply to our schools to start teacher training in September of the next academic year.

Placement availability
We can be flexible regarding dates and times, though we will avoid arranging your visit at very busy times in the term such as exams or sports day, or holiday time. In those periods, it may take a bit longer to set up a time and date.

Parking is restricted on London Road though there is on-street parking on nearby streets. There may be some limited parking in the on-site car park. If you require this or disabled spots please let us know at the time of booking.
