Wardle Academy

Pioneers Partnership SCITT, offers experience in secondary education at our partner school, Wardle Academy.

Wardle Academy is a converter academy school for young people aged from 11-16 years. The academy replaced Wardle High School in September 2013. The school has grown in size in recent years with an increasingly strong academic record, and an excellent reputation within the local community. Currently there are approximately 1200 students on roll, and we have been oversubscribed in recent years.

The school is located in a semi-rural setting on the north eastern edge of Rochdale. It serves the Pennine communities of Wardle, Littleborough and Smithy Bridge.

At Wardle Academy our mission is simple: We believe that the young people in our care should receive an education that promotes lifelong learning. We also believe in supporting our pupils so that they contribute much to society. Both elements are equally important.
