Jane Austen College
Jane Austen College is an English and humanities specialist secondary school,
Since opening in September 2014, we have established ourselves as one of the city's most popular and top-performing schools.
Our motto is to develop our knowledge and character so that we lead great lives. To reflect this, our vision centres on setting our standards high and making sure we meet them - families like you deserve nothing less.
We expect our students to work hard through to the end of our extended school day, to be kind and caring to others at all times, to take responsibility and to invest in their extracurricular activities to get the most out of school life. In return we offer excellent lessons that follow a carefully developed curriculum; a pastoral system that looks after every child; and a wide range of high-quality electives that offer students the chance to try dozens of new experiences as part of the school day.
Our wide curriculum is combined with exciting extracurricular electives to give our young people the best possible opportunities. We work closely with our local and national organisations, including theatres, galleries, drama groups, and museums to ensure our students enjoy the fullest cultural life.
