Widnes Academy
Pupils and staff are proud of our school which is at the very heart of the West Bank community.
Our recent Ofsted report once again judged the school to be good in all areas, with a ‘strong culture of safeguarding’.
The inspection also highlighted that:
* Parents and carers have very positive views and speak highly of the school and its work
* All staff and governors are committed to improvement
* Provision for pupils who have SEND is very effective
* The curriculum has been developed and it ‘inspires pupils in the school who say they enjoy learning’
* The quality of teaching is good and improving
* Pupils are well cared for and nurtured
* Pupils take pride in their work and have very positive attitudes to learning
* Respect is evident in the relationships of all in the school
I am extremely proud to be the Principal of Widnes Academy West Bank. I believe passionately that our children deserve the very best education and that they are at the heart of everything that we do. They make us proud every day and together we can achieve anything!
