Highfield South Farnham School is committed to the pursuit of excellence in all aspects of school life. Through work and play we aim to develop the skills and aspirations of all members of the school community. Our aim is for each person, child and adult, to develop their true potential to explore their skills and live their dreams.Our curriculum design ensures the needs of individuals and groups of children can be met within an outstanding quality learning environment, where classroom teaching is complimented by targeted individual support from a highly experienced outstanding Extended Learning Team (ELT). This approach together with the enjoyment of the broad and balanced curriculum has a clear impact on attainment, progress, confidence and behaviour.We work very closely with South Farnham SCITT where trainees can choose to apply for the Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) only programme or the PGCE with QTS. This one year programme includes local weekly professional studies training and placements in local schools.
You will:
• observe outstanding teaching and learning
• shadow a teacher in the day-to-day school life
• find out more about school direct teacher training
• find out more about the wider roles and responsibilities of teachers

About our school experience

• Details: Candidates will receive a tour of the school and then have the opportunity to spend a morning observing an experienced teacher.
• Start and finish times: 8:30am to 3:30pm
• Dress code:
