Elliott Hudson College

A School Experience day at one of The GORSE Academies Trust or partnership schools will allow you to observe excellent teaching and learning across the full range of Key Stages. You will have the opportunity to observe lessons and see a range of teaching styles, as well as talking to key professionals about routes into teaching. You may also get the opportunity to speak to some of our trainees and alumni about their experience of training with GORSE SCITT and their subsequent ECT year. At the beginning or end of your school experience you will be met by a member of the Senior Leadership Team. During this meeting you can reflect on your day and discuss if you require any support with the next steps of your journey into teaching.

About our school experience

Details

GORSE SCITT is the Outstanding teacher training provider of The GORSE Academies Trust. Our SEP offer is an opportunity for you to “try before you apply” to train in our Outstanding and World Class schools. To discover more information about our Primary and Secondary academies please visit the TGAT website: The GORSE Academies Trust (tgat.org.uk)
For more information about the SCITT programme please visit our website: www.gorsescitt.org.uk

Our SEP offer:
You have the initial option of spending the day in one of our trust schools or a partnership school. We can extend our offer and arrange a second day in a different phase if you are undecided between ITT in Primary or Secondary.
You will always be escorted during your school experience, so we do not require to see a DBS.
You do however need to either already hold a degree, ideally with a classification of a 2:2 or above, or be in your second or third year of your studies.
