Little Lever School
Our Core Purpose
To help every person achieve things they never thought they could.
Our Core Values
To help achieve our Core Purpose we expect our school community to demonstrate our three Core Values every day.
Be Kind, Work Hard, Take Responsibility
We set high expectations of behaviour and behaviour for learning at Little Lever. We do this because, very simply, it helps every person achieve things they never thought they could! It helps teachers to teach and students to learn and EVERYONE (students, teachers, and parents) takes responsibility for this.
Our students have a responsibility when they put on our
blazer to:
Help THEMSELVES achieve things they never thought they could
Help OTHERS achieve things they never thought they could.

At Little Lever Train to Teach we run our own SCITT (School centered intial teacher training) teacher training in partnership with our training partner Teach First. The programme is 12 months long, where trainees would get the opportunity to experience teaching in two school settings. The training is 'hands on', meaning you will be in the classroom learning from the first few weeks. There will be a gradual introduction to the classroom, when it comes to teaching and delivering to students. This can be done at the trainees own pace.
Teach First is a charity that develops teachers and school leaders and supports schools facing the toughest challenges. They have been training teachers for 20 years and are the largest Initial Teacher Training provider in the country.
Teach First are committed to driving change in the system by helping all teachers to reach their potential.
Teach First have shared expertise from their Ofsted-rated Outstanding Training Programme to develop our high-quality school-centred teacher training programme.
