Teacher training

Mulberry School for Girls and the Mulberry Schools Trust offers two secondary initial teacher training routes. Both are full-time one-year programmes:
1. Mulberry College of Teaching (MCoT) is the Mulberry Schools Trust’s accredited ITE provider, specialising in Secondary English. This is a postgraduate fee-funded route into initial teacher training which awards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE). Mulberry College of Teaching is a small local provider which prides itself on supportive professional learning. If you train to teach English you will be part of a well-established tight knit partnership of local schools who have worked together for over a decade on professional learning.
2. The Mulberry Schools Trust is a Lead Partner for UCL IOE. We recruit and offer school placements in the following subjects: Biology, Business Studies, Chemistry, Computing, Geography, History, Mathematics, Modern Languages, Physics, Physics with Maths, Psychology, Religious Education and Social Science. Participants follow IOE’s core secondary PGCE programme with teaching placements in Mulberry Schools Trust schools. Participants apply directly to the Trust as the Lead Partner.
