Harton Academy
Teach North East is a partnership of 16 Secondary and Primary schools working in close collaboration with local providers to deliver high-quality and innovative teacher training.
The lead school for the Partnership is Harton Academy, an OFSTED ‘Outstanding’ rated school (2013) and successful Teaching School
from 2011 to 2021. Harton was one of the first 100 Teaching Schools in the country.
Mortimer Primary School has been the lead primary school for School Direct since 2016, working in partnership with Harton Academy
as part of Teach North East. Mortimer Primary School is an Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ (2013) rated school and was a thriving
Teaching School from 2014 to 2021.

We can offer school experience that works for you, this might be half a day or a few hours over a few days. We can also be flexible with start and finish times.

- Must have a degree
- Photo identification: Passport or driving licence
- DBS check required

Placement availability
We can offer school experience on a day that suits you. We offer school experience days Monday to Friday, during term time.
Please note that in exam periods we may not be able to offer experience across the full age range.
