About our school experience

  Our taster sessions offer an insight to teacher training and life in school.

  During the 3 day school placement days (Tuesday-Thursday) sessions we aim for participants to be able to: ; ; Observe lessons ; See how teachers manage a classroom ; Find out how specific subjects are taught ; Speak to teachers and interact with pupils ; ; Monday and Friday will be spent with the SCITT team where we will help you prepare for your school experience placement, offer support for anyone ready to apply for a teacher training, as well as supporting and answering questions for those that have just started looking into their teacher training journey. We have a wealth of experience and previous participants have said how beneficial the taster sessions have been in preparing them.

  Please be aware that placements are limited and we are unable to offer one day placements. You may be placed within one of our partner schools if the school you have expressed interest in is unable to support your request.

• Must not have been accepted onto another teacher training course
• Candidates should meet, or be working towards, our entry criteria: an undergraduate degree at class 2:2 or above, or equivalent (3rd class degree considered) Grade 4 (C) or above in English and Maths, or equivalent qualification
