Okehampton College
Okehampton College is the Lead Teaching School for the Dartmoor Teaching School Alliance and is a member of Teaching Schools South West. As such, we offer our own School Direct teacher training program in partnership with Exeter University. As a School Direct route, we give our trainees additional time in school placement and can cater more to individual training needs.
We encourage visits to Okehampton College to undertake initial school experience, and have a dedicated team for this. Okehampton is an inclusive, 11-18, rurally-located Secondary School, whose values are 'CORE': Community, Opportunity, Respect and Equity. Please contact us if you are considering a career in Secondary education.
