The Village School

The Village School is a special needs school for pupils aged 3–19 with complex needs, including physical disabilities and severe learning difficulties. It offers a safe, inclusive environment where students thrive academically and personally. The curriculum is tailored to individual needs, with a strong focus on communication, literacy, numeracy, and life skills. Pupils benefit from specialist facilities such as a swimming pool, sensory rooms, and soft-play areas. Staff work closely with health professionals to support holistic development. The school promotes independence and leadership through activities like debates, fundraising, and community engagement. Visual aids and phonics programmes enhance learning, especially for those with speech and language challenges. With a commitment to preparing students for further education and life beyond school, The Village School fosters confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging.
