Burscough Priory Academy

Burscough Priory Academy is a thriving community school with wonderful children and a fantastic staff team, ready to give you a warm welcome.

At our school you will find an ambitious and inclusive community; one that is dedicated to celebrating the potential and uniqueness of everyone. To support this commitment, there is a strong curriculum and inspirational and challenging teaching and learning, built upon the solid foundation of outstanding pastoral care. We will take the time to truly get to know your child so that they too can thrive at our school.

A real strength here at Burscough Priory is a distinct feeling of togetherness; we truly are one. The relationships that are fostered in school between the children and staff are exceptional. We are very aware of our responsibility as a school at the heart of our community and we know that excellent relationships with our parents, and within the wider community, are crucial to the success of the children. As one team, we work altogether to make sure that our children feel safe, valued and well supported.

We understand that your children get one chance at school and as such, we believe that every child should treated as we would want our own children to be. With a focus on the balance between academic achievement and personal development, we guide our children to become independent young people who are respectful and accepting, but most of all, happy.

Teacher training

Endeavour Learning Trust is a small but steadily growing Trust in the North West, currently spanning South Ribble, West Lancashire and North Sefton. In our family of schools at this point in our growth, we have three secondary schools and two primary schools, a Teaching School Alliance and a SCITT.

In the past two years we have taken over the leadership of two of our secondary schools, both in challenging circumstances, and the impact has been rapid and significant. We are keen to welcome other schools into our Trust and to ensure we have the capacity to continue to intervene where we are needed most.

Our Trust has been further strengthened by the addition of a large primary school, which enables us to embrace the all through nature of education. It provides us with rich opportunities to learn from and with each other.

Our family ethos is tangible; we work as a team; we want the best for everyone. But we are also staunch in our commitment to doing this in a way which protects the wellbeing of our staff and our students; our commitment to reducing workload is non-negotiable. Our behaviour policies enable teachers to teach and students to learn and we strive to ensure that our schools are communities of joy, learning and teamwork. We seek to thrive; individually, together, in our classrooms, staffrooms, schools and across the Trust
