Northbourne Church of England Primary School
Northbourne CEP School is a rural, five class primary school, located within the beautiful countryside near Northbourne village and a short 5 minute drive from the towns of Deal and Sandwich. Our rural setting is at the heart of our school. We have extensive grounds which accommodate our large sports field, adventure play area, wild meadow and orchard, spiritual garden, allotments and greenhouse and chicken coop, plus our established and hugely popular Forest School.
At Northbourne our staff, governors and pupils work hard to provide a safe and stimulating environment, where our curriculum enables pupils to enjoy “life in all its fullness” (John: 10 v10)
Northbourne is a successful Church of England Primary School and we share close links with St Augustine's Church in Northbourne village. We are currently graded Outstanding by the Diocese of Canterbury, which reflects our strong Christian ethos and the links we have with our local churches. Northbourne was graded Good by OFSTED in July 2023.
At Northbourne we pride ourselves on our strong sense of community and family. We work closely alongside our local Deal primary schools.

Having some school experience is extremely beneficial if you are considering training to be a teacher: it allows you to see the nature of the role and make sure that it is right for you before you apply or undertake your training.
TSAT Teacher Training would like to support potential applicants to gain this invaluable experience. As part of your experience, you will have the opportunity to see a typical day in the life of our school.
Our school experience will include:
• observe lessons
• see how teachers manage a classroom
• find out how specific subjects are taught
• speak to teachers and interact with pupils
• learn more about teacher training - including the application and interview process - Start and finish times
