Hodgson Academy is a mixed comprehensive school in Lancashire for students aged 11 to 16. We provide a first rate, all-round education for children of all abilities.
We are a National Teaching School, in partnership with Blackpool Sixth Form College, supporting the training and professional development of the teaching profession.

Hodgson Academy has been designated as one of the first wave of National Teaching Schools and we have offered school experience for many years.
At Hodgson we provide an initial day of experience in your area of expertise followed by a further 9 days if required.
We would need to do a volunteer DBS for your further 9 days and we are happy to to do this. The fee is £15 charged by our DBS provider.
We ask that you are looking to apply to teacher training and have completed your degree or are in your final year.

- They must live within 30 miles of the school
- Photo identification: Passport or driving licence
- DBS check required

Yes. Candidates will be escorted on their first visit but will need to apply for a DBS for any further visits.
