The Thomas Alleyne Academy
The Thomas Alleyne Academy has been rated by OFSTED as a good school with outstanding leadership and management (October 2024).
The academy is part of Hart Schools Trust, which is a multi-academy schools trust that currently sponsors The Thomas Alleyne Academy and Roebuck Academy in Stevenage. We achieved Academy status on 1st September 2013.
We are an 11-18 co-educational comprehensive academy which is justly proud of its reputation as a happy, caring and safe community.
The school motto is 'achieving excellence through personal growth' and our core values are:

There has been education on our present site since the academy was founded by Thomas Alleyne, Rector of Stevenage, in 1558.

We have a strong record of supporting trainee teachers every year in a wide range of subjects.

The academy supports trainees through a range of local providers each year, both through the school-led and provider-led routes.
From next academic year we will be working with one provider even more closely, acting as host for a cohort of trainees in our area during their ITAPs and weekly pedagogy-led sessions.
